W is for "What the Fuck is Wrong with this Guy?!"

Good evening to you! I am just getting caught up on the news of the day following a looong day and was greeted with Dubya's stern glance on the home page on CNN Politics site. Of course this was accompanying news that he'd just issued his third veto of his Presidency, his second pertaining to stem cell research.

Now I just have to ask - how can someone who had ZERO problem firing up Old Sparky for any (even shakily) convicted (potentially mentally retarded) murderer when he was governor of Texas and now, as our President, has ZERO problem starting a war on shaky grounds and continuing to sacrifice American soldiers' lives for this mess, be so fucking concerned about the rights of a packet of cells that might become a viable human?!

The way I see it, it is on religious grounds and last I checked, the Founders (whose literal word is what the judges that Bush nominates for any court appointments base their decisions on) were quite clear about the separation of church and state. Therefore, when it comes to moral issues like this, religion should play no part. If Congress, whose representatives are elected regionally by those that they represent, pass a bill like this, the President really should step aside and get out of the way of the will of the people.

Anyway, I think that is enough about that. And by the way, in case it is not clear, I do support the death penalty, do not support this mess of a war W has mired us in, and do support stem cell research..
