Independence Day

   Today we here in the United States celebrate a very important birthday.

   Treasure what it represents. If you are religious, say a prayer for the men and women who are serving admirably in our military even if they have been sent to fight a foolish war. If you're not, send good thoughts their way.

   And remember why this country declared its independence from Britain and what safeguards the Founders put in place to protect us, the citizens. Don't let anyone in Washington, D.C. forget that they work for us.
