The State of the Union

   The best part of W's speech tonight was that it was his last of these Cheney/Condi/W lovefests.

   Honestly I do not know what irked me more - the scowling of Dr. Evil in his Senate President's chair the entire time, W's smirks, eyewinks, and shit-eating grins whenever he'd deliver a real zinger, or the Secretary of State's automatic ejection chair action each time her husband..errr..the President showed his toughness with a dig at the Democrats.

   There were a few things he said that were obviously intended to get everyone in the chamber on their feet and applauding but mostly he made one last pathetic attempt to tint the glasses through which historians will view his legacy. Unfortunately for all of us that have lived through his administrations blunderings, history, if accurate, will not be kind.
